5D Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a leading bespoke machinery manufacture. Their products are predominately used in the power generation and automotive sectors. Due to a sustained period of growth and a commitment to introducing new products and to drive efficiency within the current assembly operation we are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer.

This role will be made up of NPI product updates process improvements and understanding existing products. The Manufacturing Engineer will be tasked with the creation and finessing of assembly procedures and documentation.

There are a variety of processes on site which need to be understood documented and finessed. This includes mechanical and electrical assembly welding & fabricating and Paint / Powder Coating.

What the Role will involve for the Manufacturing Engineer:

• Create robust assembly processes ensuring the capture of accurate and comprehensive information for SOP s.
  
• Be the link between engineering and production whilst also being the point of contact for any production issues on the shop floor.
  
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities on production and assembly issues.
  
• Collaborate with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Senior Management.
  
• Liaise with a variety of stakeholders to ensure engineering / assembly drawings BOM s SOP s are up to date.
  
• The NPI is more theoretical but could include developing processes and requirements from suppliers.
  

Requirements

What we are looking for in the Manufacturing Engineer:

• Ideally a relevant HND/HNC qualification.
  
• 2 years experience in a similar role.
  
• Knowledge of assembly processes.
  
• Good IT skills.
  
• Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
