Manufacturing Engineer II - Weld

Metatarsal shoes are required for first day
Hours 6am4:30pm MondayFriday
75% shop floor and 25% desk
Lift requirement up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand/bend/kneeling for long periods of time Up to 6 hours a day.
Able to inspect parts and help move/rearrange parts.

Job Duties
Lead team studies related to capacity productivity & efficiency
Identify & implement Continuous Improvement (CI) projects (ie: cost reduction quality safety & product delivery)
Establish part routings proper operating methods documentation such as Mechanical Data Sheets sequence of events layouts tool conception and design part and equipment costs quality plans and labor standards
Program and troubleshoot robotic welding


Required Skills
Experience programming and troubleshooting robotic welding (Nice to have but not required Deere will train)
Knowledge of manufacturing weld processes quality tooling tool design total preventative maintenance and facilities
Knowledge of capital budgeting and equipment justification
Experience in project management and business planning; small strategic projects or large tactical projects
Experience in repetitive manufacturing environment
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
Quality Production System
Manufacturing experience 23 years. Previous experience working in a welding environment (Nice to have)
Minimum 1year experience in Creo
Proficient with standard Office apps most notably Outlook Excel PowerPoint and OneNote
