Mandarin-Speaking Property Accountant

The MandarinSpeaking Property Accountant is responsible for creating & maintaining property financials reconciling accounts and managing accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) within a collaborative team environment.

A day in the life of the successful MandarinSpeaking Property Accountant includes but is not limited to:

• Utilizing Yardi software to manage and maintain property financial records
  

• Inputting and managing financial data ensuring accuracy and completeness
  

• Maintaining comprehensive and organized financial records for retail commercial properties
  

• Reconciling accounts and ensure financial translations are accurately recorded
  

• Preparing and analyzing monthly operating reports to provide insights into property performance identifying areas for improvement and efficiency
  

• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  

• Notifying important matters to bring awareness to team members of AR/AP issues
  

• Ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions
  

• Generating and analyzing monthly financial reports for retail properties highlighting key performance indicators
  

• Providing insights into financial trends and discrepancies
  

• Monitoring and controlling propertyrelated expenses identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  

• Collaborating with property managers to streamline the onboarding process for new tenants into the Yardi system ensuring accurate lease and financial data integration
  

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative team fostering open communication and contributing to the overall success of the accounting department
  

• Address financial queries and provide necessary support for property managers and asset managers to facilitate seamless communication regarding financial matters
  

• Demonstrating the ability to identify analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues promptly
  

• Maintaining a clear understanding of accounting principles and ensure compliance with accounting standards regulations and company policies
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field
  

• Proven experience as a Property Accountant in the retail commercial real estate sector
  

• Expertise in using Yardi software for property management and accounting functions
  

• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
