Salary: USD $140800 $212700 / yr

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop implement and monitor quality standards for pulmonary care services.
• Coordinate treatment plans service delivery and utilization of services.
• Ensure compliance with administrative legal and regulatory requirements.
• Review best practices and develop standards of practice to improve quality and service.
• Manage departmental budget and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Manage staff ensuring competency and providing inservice programs.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience: Four (4) years of management experience in respiratory care in a multifaceted healthcare system or academic setting required.
• Education: Bachelors degree in respiratory care health care administration nursing or business administration OR equivalent experience. High School Diploma or GED required.
• License/Certification/Registration: Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of federal state and local regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting staffing systems quality improvement and clinical care delivery in an inpatient setting.
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree preferred.

Nonnegotiable Requirements:

1. Minimum of four (4) years of management experience in respiratory care.
2. Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California).
3. Experience working with unions.
