To enhance our growing insurance team, we are looking for a non-life actuary (freshly qualified or nearly completed your actuarial studies) starting ASAP in our actuarial team in Zurich.

Your task

As an experienced non-life actuarial Manager, you are in charge of the following tasks:

• You lead actuarial audits under IFRS / US GAAP / local statutory or Solvency II frameworks including the audit of technical reserves.
• You lead or support consulting projects in actuarial topics, such as finance transformation, reserving, implementation of tools, actuarial pricing, Swiss Solvency Test, Solvency II, ORSA and responsible actuary mandates.
• You are responsible for planning and executing audit and consulting projects, managing budgets, timelines, resources and junior team members, reporting to your team lead and supporting quality assurance activities.
• Based on your market knowledge and using your network actively you build up your skill to acquire new business opportunities and support your team and management to do so.
• You work on a broad range of interdisciplinary projects within the insurance sector and broaden your market experience by supporting the governance, risk and compliance advisory team and the management consulting team.
• You share your knowledge; you lead and develop your junior actuarial team members. You continuously develop your technical knowledge and soft skills with on and off-the-job training.

Your profile

• You have completed your master s studies in actuarial science, mathematics, physics, quantitative economics or related fields.
• You have min. 5 years of actuarial work experience in the insurance industry (e.g., in an actuarial consulting or audit role, or as an actuary in an insurance company).
• You are a freshly qualified non-life actuary, or you have nearly completed your actuarial studies.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit, ready to contribute to the development and expansion of our consulting and audit services and to work across a wide range of projects.
• You are fluent in English and German and preferably French at a conversational level.
• Your insurance knowledge includes the Swiss market. Knowledge of regulatory and accounting frameworks and requirements (e.g., IFRS 17, local accounting standards, SST and Solvency II) are an advantage.
• You have experience with programming languages like R, Python and VBA.
