Maintenance Technician

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician Aerospace

LOCATION: Kinston NC

PAY RATE: $34.00 per hour

Summary:

• Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities or on machines and equipment

• Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry plumbing painting machine and equipment repair electrical sheet metal fabrication and welding

• Conducts routine periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities machinery and equipment

• Uses hand and power tools

• Tests inspects troubleshoots and repairs machines and equipment

• Uses blueprints sketches layouts wiring diagrams drawings and specifications

• Move and place in correct position heavy equipment real property and installed property in accordance with established methods

• Prepare machine foundations assemble structures and install floor and overhead conveying equipment

• Accomplish all necessary rigging

• The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions

• Obtain and deliver material and equipment necessary to support plant maintenance and repair

• Work from diagrams prints specifications or verbal orders

• Use hand tools powered tools and shop equipment

• Perform disassembly and assembly operations necessary to accomplish assignment

• Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and order parts required to accomplish the tasks (except as relates to inventory store record issue and any other duties related to material support technician.)

• In addition each employee may be asked on occasion to complete other duties and responsibilities as required by Spirit leadership

• Training and certification will be provided for the additional work when required

Required Skills:

• 2 years of CNC PLC & electrical controls experience required

• Candidate must be available to work any shift. Primarily 2nd (Starts at 3 PM) and 3rd shift (Starts at 11 PM)

• 8 hr. shift with OT if business demands

• Position is onsite in Kinston
