Maintenance Specialist

Description:

The Maintenance Specialist will perform infrastructure maintenance activities throughout the (3) facilities on Kauai island with an emphasis on safety and quality. These activities may include but are not limited to servicing/troubleshooting processing equipment setup/breakdown of break tents in the fields and building repairs. The Research Assistant will also contribute to improvement projects and provide feedback to supervisors on specific problems/characteristics encountered on the job site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all tasks safely and follow instructions.
Attend work regularly and reliably; work overtime as scheduled or directed
Perform all tasks associated with infrastructure maintenance. These activities include but are not limited to plumbing repairs changing light bulbs painting and wall mount installations.
Perform maintenance / service on processing equipment such as dryers shellers and processing lines.
May Operate / Drive forklift & company trucks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate regularly and openly with the team and supervisors regarding issues that may affect safety or quality.
Participate in work related training programs and continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to Company Core Values.
Support other Areas / Activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
Minimum of one to two (12) years of relevant experience in maintenance is preferred
Willing and able to work shift work
Willing and able to work overtime weekends and holidays when needed
Exceptional organizational skills
Knowledge / experience operating a forklift
Ability to use computers smart phone
Experience using Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook Word Excel)
Great Oral Communication Skills
Willing and able to lift up to 50lbs

Team player
Must solve problems and make decisions in time sensitive conditions
Repeatedly required to stand and walk and work on their feet for prolonged periods
