Role Description


The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Coach and is responsible for the effective planning of all production maintenance works and resources in support of efficient and effective manufacturing execution.

The successful candidate will ensure that objectives are effectively achieved consistent with the business requirements to ensure compliance safety and reliable supply to our customers.

The Maintenance Planner manages inventory job plans / task list development preparing work for a multidisciplined technician team within the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System SAP).

The Planner is responsible for all pre work planning and resourcing within the production maintenance team including vendors shutdown and permitting.




Requirements


Responsibilities include:


Provide effective support to Production in all aspects of maintenance planning from analysis of the work requested to determination of the actual work to be performed including tasks task sequence and methodology. The planner will identify the required resources applicable for each task with consideration to technician skills available labour team size parts materials special tools and equipment. The candidate will be the point of contact for all related maintenance planning matters.

Develop planning schedules for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibrations using a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Ensure the PM plan is based on equipment and resources availability and includes estimates of costs required of operations and maintenance. Accountable for schedule adherence ensuring continuous improvement via the use of Lean Principles.

Coordinate maintenance planning and preventative maintenance through completion of planned and emergency work orders calibrations PMs etc. Document maintenance work including upgrades made to existing equipment including preventative maintenance performed and parts used to ensure appropriate documentation and records of repair history.

Develop detailed shutdown plans & schedule with all stakeholders and track and report on progress during shutdown execution.

Establish and effectively manage relevant information management systems develop reports projects timelines and correspondence utilizing many different computerized systems. Use standard systems including MS Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook SAP and various company and industry specific software for planning document tracking work order entry/tracking procurement manufacturing entry/reporting etc. Ensure the steps referenced from the SAP Plant Maintenance work flows are completed including maintenance order processing material refurbishment develop and maintain bills of materials maintain and improve job plan library.

Develop weekly monthly quarterly and annual reports showing performance of adherence to the maintenance schedules analysing trends and proposing improvements including corrective order backlogs monthly scheduled PMs and calibrations.

Format write deliver and review necessary documentation in line with the standard approval process and facilitate others to do so.

Manage all maintenance vendors through all contractor management policies.

Manage permitting for all activities with the team.

Support continuous improvement by active participation in system failure investigations and investigation reports execution/development of change control and contribution to Kaizen events as appropriate. Participate in root cause analysis of system failures substandard equipment performance using standard tools and methods to resolve machine and system issues e.g. FMEA Fishbone diagrams 5 why s etc.; oversee and implement subsequent corrective action including planning and recommended training solutions through the change management system.

Provide support with audit/inspection requirements to ensure department compliance/readiness.

Required to comply with client Global Policies Procedures and Guidelines regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.

Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned.



Experience Knowledge & Skills

Preferably the candidate will have a minimum of 12 years relevant experience in a similar role within a production maintenance / engineering org of a manufacturing facility (preferably GMP).

Experience of working in a fastpaced environment

Have an understanding of instrumentation mechanical and electrical maintenance works.

Motivated starter/finisher

Experienced in how read P&ID s; interpret vendor documentation and follow all site policies and SOPs.

Have experience in working on Maintenance Systems i.e. CMMS (preferably SAP)

Good report writing & presentation skills.

Be experienced and comfortable with delegation to team members as an individual contributor.


Qualifications & Education


Typically Trade Qualified/bachelor s degree or equivalent ideally in a related Science Engineering or other technical discipline.

i.e. a national craft certificate in a mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation discipline (Level 6 on the QQI).

Level 7 or 8 degree in an engineering or science discipline
