Location: Remote role (Westfield Ohio)

Hourly billing rate: 45/hr W2 or 50/hr C2C

Mainframe Systems Programmer/Engineer

The Mainframe Engineer serves as a handson technical resource responsible for the daily operations. In this role you will be responsible for providing support design installation configuration maintenance and testing of IBMbased mainframe hardware operating systems systems application software storage and systems utilities. You will implement changes resolve incidents and satisfy service requests for mainframe systems and services. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and peer mentor to others on the team.

Qualifications

A minimum of ten years of experience in IBM mainframe hardware and software systems.

Expertise with core IBM mainframe technologies including but not limited to z/OS CICS. Storage DB2 SDSF JES2 VTAM ISPF JCL VSAM utilities assembler RACF SQL CLIST REXX COBOL MQ SMPE SMTP Db2 utilities mainframe monitors JCL checker Unix/Linux.

A minimum of ten years of experience in batch and realtime mainframe processing methodologies.

Expertise in a multiple system servicesoriented environment with emphasis on z/OS. AIX DB2 and Linux.

Expertise with core internetworking concepts to include TCP/IP VTAM routing firewalls DNS SSL HTTP/HTTPS and encryption technologies.

Expertise with middleware and data applications such as z/OS Connect CICS DB2 MQ or other associated technologies.

Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or other related field or commensurate experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and knowledge of DevSecOps best practices.

Expertise with Application development tools such as IBMs IDZ Debug Tool Fault Analyzer Performance Analyzer and File Manager.
