Logistics Coordinator

Tasks

For our company Samsung we are looking for candidates who are willing to join our team and coordinate Samsung Distribution in Germany.

Execute daily transport related operations for one of Samsung SDSs key customers. Responsible for monitoring outbound operations customer service and act as resolute problem solver. Be the first and main contact for the customer carrier and SDS warehouse colleagues for day to day operations. Next to the daily operational tasks you are main contact person to guide operational changes based upon your tactical insight and knowledge.

KEY ACTIVITIES

The Logistics Coordinator is part of the Samsung SDS DE team located in Halle near Leipzig.

• Execute daily transport planning and coordination of loading and deliveries to customers.
• Customer booking process execution (customers located in Germany)
• Act as a contact person for sales subsidiary logistics partners and customers in order to answer questions regarding order situation administrative bookings customer requirements distribution conditions documentation and IODs in order to provide an optimum service level
• Monitoring and control of all Samsungs shipments
• Checking possibilities and conditions of express delivery
• Take corrective actions towards carriers in case when agreed performance isnt met
• Arrange/prepare month end volume peaks with all stakeholders involved
• Analyze logistical bottlenecks and opportunities
• Translate logistical issues/problems into workable solutions
• Solve complaints/anomalies
• Proactively act/inform customers on outbound progress
• Backup/assist in supporting other disciplines in transportation team
• Cooperation with transport LSPs and Warehouse Operations

Requirements

For this role we are looking for a candidate with a positive and enthusiastic mindset passion for logistics and strong motivation. A person who will independently serve as main contact for Samsung SDS customer has the capabilities to build up a strong relationship with all stakeholders involved and provide outstanding customer service. Our ideal candidate is a decisive and flexible problemsolver with a strong handson mentality that is used to work in teams but can also work independently.

• Logistics education (at least common ground with Logistics)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• Assertive personality
• Customer orientated
• Curious eager to learn and proactive attitude
• Constructive problem solving skills
• Proficient level of German in speaking and writing
• Business English in speaking and writing
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities in a fast paced environment
• Team player built and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders involved
