Linux System Engineer fmd for IT-infrastructure services

Tasks

For the operation of our global linuxbased infrastructure services at IONOS we are looking for an experienced and Linuxsavvy system engineer. Together with a competent team we will give you the responsibility and opportunity to ensure the smooth operation of our extensive and global services and to drive their further development.

• You administer our various IT infrastructure services (as f.ex. Webserver Haproxy Puppet Grafana Prometheus Git PKI Vault) running on several hundred systems in multiple data centers around the world and you ensure their high availability.
• You analyse problems eliminate faults within the scope of the respective ITIL processes and document them.
• You will do performance analysis and optimization and also evaluate new technologies.
• In addition you will participate in a rotating 2nd level oncall support together with the team for the teams own services.

Qualifications

It is important for us that you have a solid knowledge of Linux systems are interested in system administration are motivated eager to learn and that you are willing to share your knowledge with others.

• Several years of professional experience in the administration of Linux server systems .
• Solid knowledge of Linux system administration (SSH Bash remote administration etc.) is a prerequisite. Ideally already experience in the administration of larger Linux environments and knowledge about the associated challenges.
• Knowhow in script languages like Python Ruby Golang complete your profile.
• Good English skills structured and independent way of working as well as the ability to work in a team communicative and openminded appearance towards our internal partners are also no problem for you.
