Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN

Job Description:

• Nursing Services: Provide essential nursing care health services and treatment to offenders within an adult correctional institution.
• Assessment and Medication Administration: Assess offenders health needs administer prescribed medications and initiate emergency interventions and first aid measures as required. Collaborate closely with physicians.
• Guideline Development: Develop and implement medical and nursing guidelines to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain accurate medical records and provide necessary training to staff. Educate offenders on healthy lifestyle practices.
• Shifts and Stipends: Enjoy day shifts with additional stipends for weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Nursing Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a wellrounded general nursing education.
• Licensing: Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Arizona LPN license.
• Skills: Demonstrate critical thinking judgment skills and a working knowledge of mental health illnesses withdrawal symptoms and medicationassisted treatment. Strong medication management and pharmacological knowledge required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: Prefer candidates with experience in a Corrections or Law enforcement environment and working with mental health patients.
• Certification: Preference for candidates with a current AHA BLS/CPR certification.
