Licensed Electrician

Gem Care Inc. is seeking a Licensed Electrician to join our team in Roswell GA. The ideal candidate is detail oriented motivated willing to learn and teach enthusiastic maintains a positive attitude and organized. Our client is located in Roswell GA (Atlanta) and specialize in custom technology solutions including smart home theater installation lighting control motorized shades and total technology integration.

Residential experience is required and some commercial experience is a plus. This position involves going into established homes as well as new builds to wire sounds systems lighting systems basic control systems and feeders. Must have a current Georgia Electricians license and/or Journeyman Card.

Some states reciprocate licenses and that is acceptable. If applicant has a license in Alabama Louisiana N. Carolina S. Carolina or TN they can apply through a reciprocity form which just requires application. Virginia has reciprocity for electrical contractor licenses from Alabama the District of Columbia Kentucky Maryland West Virginia or North Carolina. So technically if someone did not want to redo the exam they could go to one of those states and get the license and then use that license to reciprocate to GA.

• Maintains current licensing and training requirements.
• Analyzes blueprints effectively and utilizes such information on jobsite.
• Installs maintains and/or troubleshoots basic electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Demonstrates ability to layout conduit systems various lighting systems basic control systems and feeders.
• Participates in toolbox talks safety audits and related safety functions.
• Provides technical assistance to other field employees as needed.
• Provides direction training and mentorship to Helpers/Apprentices.
• Installs conduit systems various lighting systems and basic control systems.
• Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections.
• Installs ground leads and connects power cables to equipment such as motors.
• Responds to a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and troubleshoots to repair including the ability to rebuild pumps and electric motors in house. Solid experience with laser alignment is also strongly desired.
• Maintains compliance with all OSHA and customerspecific safety requirements along with immediately identifying correcting and/or reporting any unsafe acts conditions or incidents in a timely manner.
• Actively participates in Atlanta Home Theater hiring referral and mentoring program as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

• $200 towards monthly health insurance premium.
• Two weeks PTO (accumulative).
• Cost pricing on retail.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma and 5 years of experience in maintenance construction repair and servicing of complex industrial and manufacturing power distribution systems wiring systems and motor starters and controls.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Working from heights.
• Frequently climbing bending lifting kneeling stooping and working/extending overhead.
• Working in adverse conditions (i.e. extreme cold extreme hot).
• Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
• Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
• Georgia Electricians license and/or Journeyman Card.
• Trained in grounding and bonding of medium voltage systems and equipment and Test Procedures and Requirements for AC cable terminations.
• Must provide tools necessary to perform job duties.
