About the Company


Our Client is a leading producer of industrial equipment and tools.


Responsibilities


We re looking for a meticulous and proactive Legal Compliance Officer to support compliance and legal matters across the company s operations

  • Support senior management and stakeholders on legal and compliance issues by providing legal counsel and recommendations;
  • Oversee and manage tasks and matters across the company s operations including intellectual property governance data protection employment and litigation;
  • Draft review and negotiate a diverse portfolio of contracts and legal documents including employment agreements;
  • Engage in various special projects and assignments incorporating legal and regulatory considerations;
  • Advise on data protection issues policies and practices;
  • Maintain current knowledge on regulatory compliance trends emerging threats and industry developments;
  • Monitor and assess new legislative and regulatory actions including guidelines directives and circulars issued by relevant regulatory bodies ensuring organisationwide compliance;
  • Analyse and recommend enhancements to internal processes and compliance procedures perform compliance audits and investigations;
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies on compliance matters including the preparation and submission of necessary documentation and filings;
  • Compile routine reports on compliance risk management outsourcing litigation and privacy and conduct risk assessments and compliance testing;
  • Implement and manage Environmental Social and Governance frameworks and prepare reports;
  • Work closely with HQ on all legal and compliance matters for the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Law;
  • At least 2 years of postqualification work experience;
  • Experience working with APAC markets;
  • Deep understanding of regional and global data privacy laws and regulations including GDPR;
  • Experience in ESG would be an advantage;
  • Business acumen and familiarity with the regional business landscape;
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with different levels of employees.
