Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Assistant with excellent communication skills a deep understanding of legal best practices and experience in property law. This role involves engaging with various departments within HP Sales and Lettings (plus the wider HP Group of companies) as well as external teams and stakeholders providing legal support for both UKbased and remote teams.


Here s an overview of your future role:
Employment Type: Fulltime
Schedule: Mid Shift Mon Fri 5:00 PM 2:00 AM
Work Arrangement: Permanent WFH

What do you need to succeed
  • Law degree (or equivalent) with a focus on property law.
  • Proven experience in a legal/paralegal role preferably in the property sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UK property laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What awaits you in this role
  • Review finalize and update legal policies and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with changing regulations and business needs.
  • Provide legal support in transactions including drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • Ensure HP Group compliance with UK property laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with the Administration Management and Leadership Teams to provide legal insights and support business decisions.
  • Address legal queries from staff and provide guidance on legal matters.
  • Provide legal support in transactions including drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Handle tenants arrears including chasing tenants for payment and managing related legal processes.
  • Manage litigation cases and perform legal research.
  • Act as legal counsel for internal queries and external negotiations.
  • Oversee the formulation of legal reports and ensure the correctness of all legal documents.
  • Handle business registrations legal blog writing and other legal documentation.
  • Collaborate with other team members building strong relationships for the betterment of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
