The role

The Security Tooling Team within the Platform Security organization is responsible for the strategic selection implementation management and optimization of cybersecurity tools and technologies that improve security capabilities of the organizations platform. This team is instrumental in fortifying the security posture proactively identifying and responding to security threats ensuring the resilience and protection of critical data systems and services.

Lead Software Engineers primary responsibility will be to lead the team of software engineers to develop necessary tools and services that will improve overall security of the company.

In this position your responsibility will be to:

• Leading and managing a team of software engineers;
• Working with various stakeholders on necessary features improvements and new services;
• Working with Head of Platform Security and other leads on the roadmap and strategy of the department;
• Participating in oncall duty for services owned by the team.

We expect you to have:

• 5 years of experience as a software engineer;
• 1 years of experience in the security field;
• 1 years of experience as a people manager and/or technical leader;
• 1 years of experience working with major or private cloud provider;
• Proficiency in Go programming language or willing to learn;
• A fast learner who can pick up new ideas in software and security on thefly;
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
• Experience with network host and application security practices;
• Solid general knowledge of distributed systems;
• Understanding of modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns: virtual machines containers Kubernetes serverless infrastructure as code etc.

It would be an added bonus if you had:

• Confident in presenting your ideas and opinions in a manner that can be challenged while responding well to feedback;
• Experience in Terraform/OpenTofu;
• Experience designing building and maintaining security automation;
• Experience designing building and maintaining Identity Aware Proxies or Bastion hosts;
• Contributions to opensource projects preferably security related;
• Experience presenting at tech conferences and/or meetups;
• Proficient in threat modeling techniques;
• Relevant security certifications (CKS OSCP OSCE etc.).
