Lead Machinist Operator and Programmer

** Must have 23 years of CNC programming experience with Mastercam software
** Must have 35 years of CNC and manual machining experience.
** Must have at least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD software.

Job Title: Lead Machinist Operator and Programmer
Location: Valencia CA

Work schedule: 1st shift 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday Friday)
Pay: $28.00 $30.00 an hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program CNC machines HAAS ST 20 Fadal WMC4020 and AkiraSeiki SL20 using latest version of Mastercam software.
• Ensure adherence to company policies safety standards quality and good housekeeping practices.
• Train other machinists and production associates on machine operations and setup.
• Set up and operate CNC HAAS ST 20 Fadal WMC4020 and AkiraSeiki SL20.
• Set up and operate conventional vertical milling machines such as Bridgeport and Tree.
• Set up and operate convention engine lathes such as Hardinge and Yam.
• Set up and operate surface grinders and drilling machines.
• Set up and operate CNC Hardinge lathe HLVH.
• Design and make custom tooling needed for machine setups or to fabricate parts.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling grooving and cutting including turning facing knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Calculate requirements using basic math geometry and trigonometry.
• Plan machining by studying work orders blueprints engineering plans.
• Work with Engineering and Production to optimize designs.
• Adhere to production schedules.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and implement efficiencies when possible.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• 23 years of CNC programming experience with Mastercam software.
• 35 years of CNC and manual machining experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD software.
• Strong math problem solving and analytical skills.
• Time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Team focused and open to learning new skills.

• Operating shears and other fabrication equipment
