Lead Design Research (m/f/d)

Your Role

As Lead Design Research (m/f/d) you will lead, grow and mentor our diverse experience UX Research Team of four fulltime and three working students so it can support our six cross-functional product teams with the required UXR activities. Furthermore it is your responsibility to own the management and processes around UXR at Studysmarter. You will report either directly to the C-Level or to our Head of Product Design.

Together we work towards our goal of empowering everyone to achieve their educational goals and towards making StudySmarter the world wide #1 learning platform. Therefore we are looking for an experienced leader who shows passion for digital education and great experience at UXR, Product and People Management.

Tasks

• You will focus on outcomes by leading and aligning research activities at StudySmarter.
• You will contribute to product goals and business objectives, as well as strive to meet our user needs
• You will lead, inspire and further build up our UXR team by mentoring, supporting and carrying out regular 1:1s with all UXR members.
• You make sure that our team approaches product development in a user-centred and evidence-based manner.
• You will own StudySmarters research projects from end to end and enable our product to make informed decisions by continuously improving our qualitative and quantitative methods

Requirements

• You have 8+ years of relevant experience in UX research
• You have 3+ years of leadership experience
• You have experience in B2C startups / scaleups is preferred
• You have strong skills in data driven product development
• You have strong skills in data-driven product development
• You have strong skills in managing and improving processes
• You have excellent German and English language skills
• You have a passion for digital product development, new challenges, personal growth and digital education
