Laser Technician

Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Laser Technician to perform laser departmentrelated duties as assigned by team leader/ supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all maintenance related duties as assigned.
  

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  

• Perform all periodic maintenance on automated machinery as required to maximize operational capacity.
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise to ensure machines maintain a high level of utilization.
  

• Work and coordinate with factory service personnel as required to resolve machine faults.
  

• Order all spare parts maintain maintenance records and coordinate with factory service personnel to keep automation machinery fully operational.
  

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
  

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  

• High school diploma or GED required.
  

• Trade school / Vocational Training degree or certification preferred.
  

• Minimum 8 years of experience operating laser cutting machines.
  

• Experience maintaining Trumpf fiber lasers Bystronic lasers required.
  

• Experience maintaining Amada punches and brakes preferred.
  

• Forklift operator certification.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  

• Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
  

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  

• Must be able to talk listen and speak clearly. Bilingual candidates a definite plus.
