What Youll Do:

• Handle a diverse range of highprofile work in employment litigation and traditional labor law matters in an everchanging regulatory and legislative environment.
• Engage with a broad spectrum of clients including publiclytraded companies middlemarket firms closelyheld family businesses nonprofits academic institutions and entrepreneurs both domestically and internationally.
• Navigate complex matters before the EEOC DOL state and local administrative agencies arbitration forums and courts across the country. Tackle issues including employment and disability discrimination (Title VII ADEA ADA FMLA) harassment retaliation wage and hour violations and restrictive covenants.
• Manage traditional labor relations under the NLRA including union organizing collective bargaining grievance and arbitration strikes and unfair labor practice charges.
• Provide strategic counseling on regulatory compliance internal investigations whistleblower and retaliation issues hiring employee discipline and termination compensation and commission matters and much more.
• Draft and negotiate critical employment contracts and handle sensitive matters like downsizing and mass layoffs in compliance with the WARN Act.
• Develop workplace policies and conduct inhouse training focused on diversity equity and inclusion ensuring compliance across various regulatory frameworks.
• Advise on employmentrelated aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 35 years of employment law experience ideally with a mix of litigation and counseling experience.
• Must be admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota.
• A strong academic background is required.
• Excellent research writing and communication skills.
