Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Mason OH 45040

Duration: 4 Months (Possible Extension)

Shift Time: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Job Summary:

• The work is to support Research and Development staff in testing products for the personal care group.
• Sample preparation testing and data analysis help is needed.
• The individual will work in a chemistry lab taking direction from team members to make small batches and operate test equipment as necessary.

Must Haves:

• The individual will work in a chemistry lab taking direction from team members to make small batches and operate test equipment as necessary.
• Requires some general laboratory skills (use of balances and small equipment operation) or special skills taught by team.
• Can follow rules and directions regarding recording data (no white outcross through and initial mistakes always use black or blue ink dating work).
• Requires substantial independent judgment.
• With moderate instruction must be able to perform routine testing and work with specific instrumentation.
• 5 years experience in a similar work environment.
• Nice To Haves:
• Candidates will need to be cautious as hazards may be present in the workplace.

Education & Qualification:

• HS Diploma at a minimum and depending on specific role a degree or advance degree may be required.
• Requires 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Requires some general laboratory skills (use of balances gram and
• ounce conversion yield accounting equipment operation) or special skills taught by.
• Moderate instruction must be able to perform routine testing and work with specific instrumentation (i.e. hair combing tests particle size analysis etc.).
• Receiving labeling and safely storing samples to be tested.
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and reports.
• Recording tests and Business Use analyses and then reporting the results. Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the
• safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment including re calibration of equipment.
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field.
• May require substantial independent judgment.
