This is a remote position.

Our client, a leading publisher of world language products, is seeking a dedicated and driven sales individual to join their team. This person ideally will have a high interest inlanguage educationand is looking for an opportunity to have a larger impact by working in a role that will expand their skill set while also helping schools and districts achieve learning outcomes by using educational technology products.


This person will also play a key role in the West Region Sales team in overseeing the entire sales cycle, including building relationships, gaining an understanding of K-12 schools and district customer challenges, and bringing them a product or program solutions to meet their needs.


The ideal candidate must reside in California, close to an airport preferred, and have a willingness to travel throughout the state (30 - 50% required).


Salary range budgeted: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver impactful, engaging, and customized digital andlive presentationsthat show how our client ssolutionscan help solve a school or district's challenges and help them achieve learning outcomes
  • Exhibit a consultative selling approach to consistently closebusiness and achieve sales quotas
  • Network and developa strong understanding of a customer's needswithin the assigned territory
  • Establish and maintain strong partnershipswith key K-12 education professionals and stakeholders
  • Partner effectively with internal teamsto provide customers with an excellent experience
  • Utilizethe CRM and other tools to build a territory database for effective analysis,planning and account management
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of our clients products and programs
  • Keep in tune with relevant and territory specific market trends and report findings to sales management




Requirements

  • Associates Degree minimum required (bachelors degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience selling K-12 education, publishing, language learning, ed-tech or similar products in the state of California required
  • Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a varietyof audiences virtually (GoToMeeting, Skype, Zoom, etc.) and/or in-person required
  • Knowledge of or experience with California K-12 State Adoption process, players, and resources available
  • Experience with prospecting,territory building, negotiation and/oraccount management
  • Relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using a CRM (i.e. Salesforce) or similar tool
  • Speakingmultiple languages, including Spanishpreferred
  • A willingness to travel within the territory (30 - 50%) required
