The Role

Supporting the Sports Marketing Manager the Junior Sports Marketing Operations Executive is an integral link between Sports Marketing and Operational functions of the business and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective communication between both functions as well as working with external facing personnel such as Senior Sports Marketing Directors Sports Marketing Managers and Sports Marketing Operational Executives.

The Junior Sports Marketing Operations Executive will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of structure and organisation when dealing with all sports and a range of requirements.

Ultimately the Junior Sports Marketing Operations Executive will support the Sports Marketing Manager and the Director of Sports Marketing to ensure two vital functions of the business communicate in turn supporting our sponsored assets to achieve partnership business commercial and brand goals.

This will involve working across multiple business units to build consistency and ensure that all are aligned to achieve the same business goals.

Core

Assist the Sports Marketing Manager in being the main point of contact for internal communication between Sports Marketing and Operational functions of the business.

Help drive key processes such as the critical path sponsor requirements & delivery of kit to ensure key milestones are hit.

Work with key product departments to confirm that all product is to the required regularity standard.

Constantly explore ways to improve production efficiency and consolidation across all Teams and sports.

Assist with implementing or improving processes and working on adhoc projects as required by the Sports Marketing Manager.


DaytoDay

Being able to assist the Sports Marketing Manager in communicating internally to the Sports Marketing department what the relevant key dates are for sign off production and delivery dates.

Be the point of contact for any quality control challenges that we face and liaise with the product/sourcing departments ensuring the tracker is kept up to date and is continually monitored internally.

Work closely with the Partnership Operations team to monitor and contribute to external conversations with Teams specifically around key periods such as bulk deliveries.

Work with the Sports Marketing Manager to ensure a smooth post production modification process and work with relevant departments to move product as efficiently as possible.

Control the overview of all Teams (including retail where applicable) product drops and launches throughout the calendar year/season.

Being involved in the Gift of Kit ordering process working alongside the Sports Marketing and Merchandise team to ensure all information supplied is accurate and as agreed with the wider business.

Reporting

Ensure product and operational functions are aware and up to date with any key delivery dates or requirements from sponsored Teams.

Track and report on quality control challenges across a Team Sport or Product category.

Regularly providing status updates to the Head of Sports Marketing Operations on key projects being worked.

Skills & Qualities

Experience of working in a busy administration role within the sports industry is desirable.

Excellent computer literacy with the ability to use excel at an intermediate level.

High attention to detail and the ability to take initiative to complete tasks.

Ability to work crossfunctionally liaising with peer groups across the business and adapting to evolution and changing of process.

Comfortable in a fastpaced and everchanging business environment.

Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.

Flexible approach and willingness to further learn and adapt in fast paced growing business.
