In a nutshell

Picnic is growing rapidly and dealing with broader more complex and international challenges every day. We are looking for a junior legal counsel to help us scale our growth in Germany. You will work from our Amsterdam offices with the rest of the legal team located in Amsterdam and with the German business teams especially our expansion/real estate teams located at our Dsseldorf HQ and our other German locations. You will get a 360 view of Picnic and work on a wide range of legal matters both independently and together with other members of our legal team and business teams. There will be a strong focus on real estate related topics like rental & development contracts but disputes and the full breadth of other compliance topics and negotiations are also in scope the full package if youre up to it!

What youll do

• Be the backbone of our German expansion for legal topics
• Draft review and negotiate a variety of business contracts e.g. commercial lease supply software building & equipment service agreements and much more
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal topics arising over the course of projects and deal with questions compliance matters and disputes across all topics
• Provide handson and pragmatic legal support to the different areas of the business
• You will be part of the legal team and based in Amsterdam (at least for the first year) with regular trips to Germany (mainly Dsseldorf)

About you

• Degree in German Law
• 1 3 years of relevant professional experience as a lawyer with a mediumsized or large law firm preferably with a focus on real estate (rental) law
• Excellent drafting negotiation and project management skills
• Proactive and handson mentality
• Flexible and structured way of working
• A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal matters
• Able to work independently as well as together with other legal counsels and business teams
• Fluent in English and German
