Junior Full Stack Developer

REPORTS TO: Delivery Manager

JOB PURPOSE: Work with the web development team to take ownership and work towards becoming an expert on our web platform.

What are you responsible for?

• Working as part of a small web development team to maintain our current websites and to be a key member of the team working on our brand-new website
  
• Troubleshoot and suggest improvements to increase performance and stability of the websites

Technical requirements

• Understanding of PHP
  
• Familiarity with Wordpress
  
• Experience of Laravel
  
• Understanding of rest APIs
  
• Ability to write clean and maintainable code
  
• Self-starter and proactive attitude
  

It s not essential but it would be great if you also have

• Experience of using front end javascript frameworks (Vue/Nuxt)
  
• 1-2 years commercial experience of PHP
  
• Experience of using AWS or other cloud service providers
  
• Experience of integrating payment gateways
  
• Experience of using GIT
  
• Familiarity with continuous integration pipelines
  
• Experience of working on UX projects
  
• Understanding of agile methodology
  
• Ability to interrogate a brief and work with stakeholders to map out technical requirements
  
• Experience of integrating plug ins and page templates (Wordpress)
