We leverage our strong relationships with the talented makers we carry and collaborate with our local design community to curate a stunning selection of oneofakind designs that elevate any space.

The Role

Were looking for an energetic creative and selfmotivated "Junior Design Consultant" to join our closeknit team. As a representative of the team youll wear many hats!

• Be the Design Guide: Help clients navigate our collection of stunning handcrafted tiles create custom proposals and transform their dream spaces into reality.
  
• Become a Product Expert: Learn everything there is to know about our artisan tiles their unique qualities and how they can elevate any design project.
  
• Embrace the Showroom Experience: Welcome customers manage client relationships and ensure the showroom is organized trendy and showcases the beauty of our handcrafted products.
  
• Collaborate with a Supportive Team: Were a closeknit group who thrives on teamwork and a shared passion for design. Youll work alongside colleagues and participate in onsite/offsite events to develop and foster relationships within the Tucson design community.

Responsibilities

• Be the Design Consultants Right Hand: Hit the ground running by assisting our experienced design consultants. Youll learn the ropes of client interaction answer phones schedule appointments and ensure a welcoming first impression for our clients.
  
• Partner with Clients to Bring Their Vision to Life: Work alongside our design consultants to understand client design goals. Observe consultations and learn how to translate those visions into beautiful and functional spaces featuring our handcrafted tiles.
  
• Gain Valuable Design Experience: Gain handson experience by assisting with design consultations (both walkin and scheduled). Youll learn how to translate client requests into proposals and orders working closely with the design consultants.
  
• Build Client Relationships: As you grow in your role youll have the opportunity to develop your own client base. Youll learn to manage client relationships fostering trust and creating a positive experience throughout the design process.
  
• Cultivate a Showroom that Inspires: Collaborate with the team to maintain a wellorganized and visually inspiring showroom environment. This includes keeping displays fresh and ensuring the space reflects the latest design trends.
  
• Become a Product Connoisseur: Dive deep into the world of artisan tile! Learn everything there is to know about our unique product offerings. Youll be responsible for ordering and managing samples to meet client and design needs.
  
• Ensure Seamless Order Fulfillment: Track order status collaborate with operations on receiving shipments and participate in quality control procedures.
  
• Maintain Showroom Excellence: Keep the showroom organized manage product displays and stay informed about discontinued items.
  
• Embrace Teamwork: Be a team player and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  
• Expand Your Design Horizons: Broaden your design knowledge and gain industry experience through opportunities beyond the showroom. You may participate in offsite consultations site visits and events. There may also be occasional travel to trade partner offices. This will allow you to collaborate with designers builders and homeowners witnessing the entire design process in action from initial concept to finished product.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in design or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  
• Experience in customer service and retail sales is a plus (Interior design experience highly desirable).
  
• Strong understanding of design trends and principles.
  
• Proficiency in basic computer systems; knowledge of CAD Adobe Suite and Office is a bonus.
  
• Selfmotivated organized professional with a passion for design and working with people.
  
• A love of sarcasm (optional!) and a laidback work environment is a plus.
