Junior Civil Engineer

Your work would entail the following but would cover all aspects of technical support and appraisal of Facades and the “Building Envelope”.

Providing All façade structural calculations which would include wind load, thermal, acoustic, dew point, structural or other technical requirements as requested by the client.

Review of Architects’ and Contractors’ specifications, drawings and other technical documents which are submitted for review by us and producing written reports for the client appraisal in support of the Professional team.

As well as utilizing your structural engineering qualifications you will be expected to make yourself fully aware of all required regulations which may be relevant to the position and our work including but not limited to: British Standards, European Normal Standards, CWCT documentation and recommendations, Specialist requirements such as BR135, Factory Mutual, LPC and any other standards or regulations that may be relevant or impact upon our technical assessments and recommendations. You would also be expected to have a working knowledge of all major envelope and façade systems commonly used and Curtain Walling, Rain screen systems and cladding systems.
