Role Overview:

As a Junior Buyer / Sourcer you will play a pivotal role in the expansion and diversification of our product range. Working remotely under the guidance of the Head of Sourcing you will be responsible for evaluating all incoming consignment requests assessing the value condition and provenance of each piece and making informed decisions on consignment purchase or rejection. This role requires a keen eye for quality market knowledge and exceptional communication skills to negotiate and manage consignor relationships effectively. You will also collaborate closely with our merchandising and customer service teams to ensure seamless listing and sales processes including addressing any additional product authentication requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consignment Evaluation: Assess all incoming consignment requests determining the value condition and provenance of each piece to make informed consignment purchase or rejection decisions.
• Consignor Liaison: Negotiate terms with consignors managing their accounts and keeping them updated on the sales progress of their items.
• CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with the merchandising team to facilitate the listing process and the customer service team on any additional productrelated requests ensuring a smooth efficient sales cycle.
• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and prices in the preowned designer furniture sector to inform purchasing decisions and consignment valuations.
• Account Management: Provide exceptional service and communication to consignors building and maintaining strong relationships and enhancing their experience with REHAUS.

Qualifications:

• Experience in buying sourcing or a similar role within the furniture design luxury goods or related sectors.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and value items based on condition market demand and provenance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple consignor relationships effectively.
• Highly organised and adaptable capable of working independently in a remote setting.
• Knowledge of the preowned furniture market and a passion for sustainable highquality design.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and comfortable working with a remote team across different functions.
