The Junior Accountant will handle all things Accounts Payable related corporate credit card reconciliations T&E expense report review and approval monthly accounting close process audit process special projects and processing yearend 1099s.

• Review vendor setup details for accuracy: vendor name address payment account details and verify Federal ID Numbers.
  
• Maintain vendor accounts by verifying and posting transactions and reconcile monthly statements.
  
• Reconcile account ledgers by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  
• Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities paying by terms scheduling and initiating check wire or ACH payments resolving purchase order issues and resolving payment discrepancies.
  
• Review T&E expense reports and approve according to company guidelines/policy.
  
• Code transactions and reconcile receipts of corporate credit card purchases.
  
• Verify new vendor setup forms and set up the vendor in the accounting software.
  
• Verify vendors 1099 status and process yearend 1099 forms.
  
• Assist with the monthly accounting close process by processing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  
• Assist with the audit process.
  
• Assist with inventory reconciliation.
  
• Assist with special projects.
  
• Protect the organizations value by keeping information confidential.
  

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• Over 4 years of experience in a business environment.
  
• Preferred experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System.
  
• Mandatory experience in Accounts Payable with some preferred Staff Accounting experience.
  
• Strong skills in personal computers and business solutions software.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with accountants vendors and upper management.
  
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  
• Effective planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work effectively.
