Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with Group accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Keeping track of all financial process purchase orders invoices statements etc.
- Advising on the improvement of financial management system internal control system and the use of financial management software
- Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee all the transactional process (AR AP & GL).
- Cost centre analysis
- Monthly accruals and other ledger journals
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Interaction with senior stakeholders
- Assisting with audit queries
- Payment proposal submission to country manager
- Inventory accounting/closing
- Coordinating with country manager regarding stock counting
- Currency revaluations ( AP AR GL Banks )
- Train and mentor junior staff.
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
