Overview:
The Jira Admin plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the Jira platform enabling effective project management and issue tracking across the organization. They are responsible for configuring and customizing Jira to meet the specific needs of different teams ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure Jira workflows screens fields and reports to support various projects and teams
- Manage user permissions roles and groups within Jira
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Jira instances
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira related issues
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to automate processes and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions in Jira
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and security best practices
- Stay updated with Jira latest features and functionalities to make recommendations for improvements
- Train and support users on Jira best practices and usage
- Participate in the migration of projects and issues from other systems to Jira
- Document configurations processes and procedures related to Jira administration
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of Jira plugins and addons
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes using Jira
- Communicate with vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Implement security and data privacy measures within Jira
Technical skills:
Knowledge of JAVA and MYSQL
Experience with Linux OS administration and management
Knowledge of integration APIs
Experience running Linux OS and Jira applications
Script usage and interpretation (i.e. able to understand a given script used for administration of
systems.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Jira Core Software and Service Desk
- Proficiency in Jira configurations and workflow customizations
- Experience with Jira data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy Python or JavaScript
- Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and gather requirements
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Experience in implementing security and data privacy measures within Jira
- Ability to train and support users on Jira best practices
- Familiarity with Jira plugins and addons
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- Certification in Jira Administration is a plus
