Role: Java Developer

Location: Austin TX or Newport Beach CA (Onsite from day one)

Responsibilities

1. Professional software development experience


2. Solid development experience in core Java


3. Experience developing Distributed Systems


4. Good understanding of the software development process


5. Excellent communication skills


6. Strong understanding and experience in the following areas:


7. Java core containers/data structures


8. Ability to understand and rapidly implement efficient algorithms


9. Multi-threading


10. Design patterns: when they are applicable, and their boundaries


11. Can recognize and correct code smells


12. Preferred, but not required experience in some of the following areas:

a. Cloud development and tools

b. Python

c. Database development

d. Linux scripting

e. Maven

f. Writing restful services

g. Java messaging service

h. Spring dependency injection
