Position: IT Support Professional Location: Cape Town Contract Type: Permanent Department: Service & Operations Region South

Role Description: The IT Support Professional will be responsible for managing and resolving hardware and software issues for all internal company users. They will stay uptodate on technological advancements in mobile and desktop operating environments.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Provide support for employees enduser hardware.
  • Ensure highquality service delivery for the IT environment at the Business Unit.
  • Address support requests submitted by employees via the ticketing system.
  • Assist with projects as defined by the Team Leader.
  • Assign and prepare new hire hardware.
  • Retrieve hardware from departing employees.
  • Maintain uptodate inventory in the assets database.
  • Troubleshoot network hardware and software issues.
  • Support and maintain the printer fleet.
  • Support and maintain the mobile device fleet.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3year ITrelated qualification.
  • 5 years of IT Support work experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS (Win. 10/11 Win. Server 2016/2019/2022) Microsoft 365 suite (Office Teams OneDrive) and Microsoft Azure AD.
  • Proficiency in computer management tools (Microsoft SCCM / Microsoft Intune / Barramundi).
  • Basic networking skills (TCP/IP ICMP SMB FTP).
  • Familiarity with Android OS & Apple iOS.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to empathize with users.
  • Ability to write technical documentation that is clear and understandable for endusers and IT colleagues.
  • Soft skills: customer and service focus reliability adaptability teamwork commitment willingness to learn.

Additional Requirements (Preferred):

  • Proficiency in speaking an additional language such as French German Spanish or Italian.
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems (3CX / Mitel / Skype for Business / Teams / Other ).
  • Skills in Firewalling and Switching (Fortigate / CheckPoint / Cisco / Juniper / Other ).
  • Familiarity with Apple MacOS.
