Description
This position is for the Computer Systems Engineering team in Research and Development with the Software Development team at Client. We are looking for a talented individual to join the team as an R&D Technician working within product development. The position will assist with the Computer Systems Development team in the configuration installation and deployment of systems for the Client.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Configuration installation and deployment of software to Client workstations and laptops
• Create update and track issues in the Clients issue management system
• Provide input to the documentation of product development and production procedures
• Perform quality assurance checks on issues and computer systems
• Collaborate with the software development team to document track maintain and perform associated tasks as required

Years of Experience: Preferred 1 to 2 years experience in engineering computer science information technology or related fields.

Education: Preferred minimum of Bachelors degree in engineering computer science information technology or related fields. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Windows or Linux Operating System installation and configuration including driver troubleshooting OS enhancements and software installation
• Detailoriented with the ability to follow written procedures and document progress on tasks
• Experience working with issue management systems to create triage and track issues
• Familiarity with performing quality assurance checks on computer systems
• Organized and on time with the ability to follow through on tasks and work in a structured process environment
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with highend workstations laptops network hardware internal cards like frame grabbers and external accessories like printers monitors touchscreens etc.
• Familiarity with Word Visio and similar documentation tools
• Familiarity with writing and running test procedures
• Capable of producing polished detailoriented written technical documentation
• Familiarity with OS patching
• Familiarity with software revision control systems.
• MS Office and documentation systems experience preferred
• Windows and Linux operating systems experience highly preferred
