In 2020 our first product AcuPebble SA100 became the first medical device in the world to obtain the CE mark for the automated diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnoea at home and a few months later the product gained FDA clearance for home sleep apnoea testing in the US. AcuPebble SA100 is now in use within healthcare organisations across the UK and Europe and will be launching in the USA in the coming months. At the same time we continue our research to develop new products that will fundamentally improve the lives of millions of people suffering from serious chronic conditions such as COPD Asthma and Epilepsy.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Acurables mobile applications are the main interface between the AcuPebble acoustic sensor and the healthcare professionals and patients who use our medical devices. In your role as iOS Developer youll be working on an essential component of our products which needs to not only be engaging and easy to use but which must also provide the high performance our system requires. This is a really exciting opportunity for a talented motivated developer who loves solving complex problems and has a strong analytical background. Youll be able to get involved in every stage of app development from initial planning to ultimate release and participate in new and exciting projects while working alongside our team of experienced researchers and engineers.

What you will do

• Design and develop beautiful userfriendly iOS applications ensuring seamless interactions and topnotch performance.

• Integrate our innovative acoustic sensor with the mobile app leveraging reliable wireless communication technologies.

• Integrate the app with our cloud data platform APIs ensuring smooth data flow and powerful functionalities.

• Design and implement technical solutions to enhance the apps functionality and maintain its peak performance.

• Collaborate closely with our backend developers embedded engineers and product designers to bring the next generation of features to life.

• Define document and implement comprehensive unit and functional tests to ensure every aspect of the app functions flawlessly.

• Write code following the IEC62304 based software development lifecycle.

• Challenge yourself and others continuously explore new technologies and have fun while making a real impact.

What you should bring to Acurable

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science or Mathematics showcasing your strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

• 13 years experience developing iOS mobile applications in Swift with knowledge of iOS and iPadOS.

• Experience in SwiftUI and UIKit.

• Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns.

• Strong interest in UX/UI with a focus on accessibility and ease of use. You should have a solid understanding of iOS UI/UX design principles patterns and best practices.

• Experience working with RESTful APIs offline storage multithreading performance tuning and BLE for wireless communication.

• Fluency in spoken and written English.

• Creativity in finding solutions exceptional attention to detail a good understanding of technology and most important of all a genuine curiosity to learn and master new technologies.
