Gordian Ventures Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detailoriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist. As a leading investment firm Gordian Ventures Inc. manages a diverse portfolio of companies across multiple industries and effective inventory control is essential to the success and profitability of these businesses.
As the Inventory Control Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory management process. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure accurate and timely inventory data analyze inventory levels and trends identify and resolve discrepancies and implement inventory control strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and data in accordance with company policies and procedures
Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movement including receiving storage and replenishment
Analyze inventory data to identify trends patterns and opportunities to optimize inventory management
Collaborate with procurement operations and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure adequate stock levels
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
Implement and enforce inventory control processes including labeling storage and handling procedures
Identify and resolve issues related to inventory accuracy including stockouts overstock and obsolete inventory
Develop and maintain inventory reports and performance metrics to measure inventory efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics business administration or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control supply chain management or a related field
Strong knowledge of inventory control best practices and methodologies
Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams
Experience with forecasting and demand planning
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
Full Time
