Hours:09:00 17:00 Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

We are keen for individuals who already have prior experience managing an internal communications function in a professional services environment.

Our client is a leading and award-winning international commercial law firm with offices in Liverpool, Manchester, London, Leeds, Piraeus, Singapore, Monaco and Hong Kong. With more than840 people including175 partnersand legal directors, the firm delivers advice and strategic guidance spanning the full legal spectrum, from non-contentious advisory and transactional work, to all forms of commercial litigation.

They act as a trusted adviser to a wide portfolio of clients across a wide range of specialist sectors: from transport and logistics and international trade, through to retail, insurance, marine, health, education, manufacturing, public sector and banking and financial services.

Due to the growing team we are now actively looking for a Costs Draftsperson to join them.

Introduction to the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your marketing career working within the Business Development and Marketing(BD&M) department.

The Communications team is responsible for all internal and external communications, including PR, social media, internalcommunications and campaigns. This role has greater emphasis on internal communications, ensuring that all colleaguesare up to date with the firm s latest news, projects, initiatives, goals and strategies. You will work closely with other teamsaround the firm to drive engagement.

Introduction to the team
You will be part of the BD&M team and will report directly to the Head of Communications. Although the focus of this roleis on internal communications, all members of the wider BD&M team are expected to support the work of the widerbusiness development plans and other parts of the firm as needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the internal communications function, overseeing all internal communications globally, ensuring theyare effective, on brand and aligned to our values

  • Work with HR to develop an engagement project plan and lead on its rollout
  • Work with Central Services colleagues to create communications plans for internal change initiatives eg process and systemchanges

  • Undertake (research, plan and execute) improvement projects to make the firm s internal communications more effective,engaging and visually appealing

  • Seek out news and content from the wider business and produce engaging communications to raise awareness of the firm sservices, encouraging cross-referral and collaboration amongst colleagues

  • Manage the internal communications calendar, keep up-to-date and deliver key communications in line with dates specified
  • Develop content for digital signage screens based on the strategic objectives of the business
  • Write, build and send weekly e-newsletter and other ad hoc email communications as requested by colleagues
  • Write and send firmwide messages for Teams communications channel
  • Draft communications on behalf of the Executive team and other colleagues
  • Organise and collate content for internal roadshows
  • Manage the delivery of the internal communication element of marketing campaigns
  • Work with the intranet team to update the intranet with the latest news and updates
  • Develop all channels email, digital signage, Teams, intranet in line with strategic objectives of the business
  • Manage the internal communication team s mailbox
  • Manage the firm s anonymous online suggestion box, drafting responses for approval and posting
What we are looking for
Essential:
  • Previous experience working within a marketing/communications department
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Good experience in a copywriting/marketing environment
  • Creative, with the ability to produce visually appealing and interesting communications
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Flexibility in approach and a willingness to work outside normal office hours, if required
  • Knowledge of internal communications channels, software, tools and applications
  • Demonstrate and show understanding of the importance of internal communications and engagement in acorporate business
