About the role

Light for the Worlds internal communications content specialist is joining the organisation at an exciting time of transition and change; with our Strategy 2030 and an evolving governance structure just around the corner.

In this role they will write and share key strategic messages coordinate information flows and manage content on our internal platforms. Their outputs will inform and inspire our people in line with our vision of an inclusive future for all. The internal communications content specialist reaches a diverse and global workforce at Light for the World. Our 300 passionate colleagues are the target audience: making sure they are aware of key organisational developments & current initiativesand how their individual roles fit into the overall pictureis key!

Tasks

Create & manage content for internal audiences

  • Coordinate create edit format and distribute impactful and accessible content for Light for the Worlds global colleagues across different formats (written visual audio and video) and internal communication channels (Organize Global Talk via Microsoft Teams; Manage Internal SharePoint Landing Page) in English language to colleagues in countries including Austria Burkina Faso Czech Republic Ethiopia Germany Kenya Mozambique South Sudan Switzerland Uganda UK and USA

  • Create use and manage platforms and systems to enable a collaborative culture (Microsoft Teams; Aha Interactive Slides)

  • Support and advise on tools platforms and workflows for internal communications (Internal SharePoint Sites; LINK; LInt Calendar; Internal EMail Lists)

  • Update follow and execute our internal communication strategy for the organization

  • Occasionally support internal crisis communications work alongside Head of Communications

    Support strategic change topics

  • Communicate key internal topics including mission vision values; our new strategy 2030; evolution of our governance structure; good news; and employee advocacy activities

  • Build excellent working relationships across all departments and Light for the World country officesincluding leadership of the organization CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and People & Culture

Requirements

  • An excellent writer editor and storyteller with a demonstrable portfolio of content experience
  • Internationally minded and committed to Light for the Worlds mission of an inclusive world for all
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple key messages
  • Strong understanding of how to reach internal audiences using different content methods and platforms
  • Comfortable working remotely with a global workforce
  • Confident selfstarter with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple demands
  • A great relationship builder with a cando attitude
  • Existing experience with internal communications and/or content management systems is a plus
