As a Purchasing Intern at Smith youll immerse yourself in a handson learning experience that will bridge the gap between theory and practical application. Under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals youll gain a comprehensive understanding of the semiconductor procurement landscape from sourcing and negotiating to managing supplier relationships and optimizing supply chain operations through our inhouse CRM system.

Tasks

Throughout your 3month internship youll gain valuable exposure to the intricacies of semiconductor procurement including:

Assisting in sourcing and negotiating electronic components with suppliers gaining insights into market trends and pricing strategies using our CRM system

• Participating in supply chain management activities understanding the flow of commodities and optimizing inventory levels.
• Conducting market research and analysis expanding your knowledge of semiconductor industry trends and opportunities.
• Collaborating across departments such as Sales Accounting and Operations to foster transformative partnerships groundbreaking achievements and unparalleled customer experiences.

Requirements

We are seeking for the next generation of strategic buyers:

• Completing a bachelors degree in a related field (Business Supply Chain Management Economics Engineering)
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated track record of achievement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced working environment
• Multilingual talents can flex your language skills and make a global impact. English and any other European languages are welcomed!
