Our client, a London based consultancy, require an interim part time payroll administrator for a 6 month contract.

The role sits within the UK Finance team who are collectively responsible for delivering accurate timely reporting to senior management and providing first class support for all departments within the group to enable efficient delivery of company goals.

Key activities:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the UK payroll.
  • Main point of contact for ADP and employee payroll and benefit queries.
  • Ensuring all changes including new starter details, leavers, contractual changes, benefit changes, overtime, etc. are entered into correctly into ADP.
  • Preparation of all other payroll related payments and filings as required by the authorities and the business (eg. Pension payments, childcare vouchers, maternity etc.)
  • Processing of P45's, P46's, SMP, SPP, answering tax queries and following month and year end procedures.
  • Collating and processing of P11d taxable benefits item in line with the HMRC guidelines.
  • Keeping up-to-date with payroll related legislation, being able to advise the business.
  • Prepare lead schedules and supporting documentation as required for year end and interim audits.
  • Achieve all departmental and task deadlines as specified by line manager.
  • Other ad hoc duties

What will you bring to the role:

  • You will have experience of managing a similar size payroll with working knowledge of payroll software, ideally ADP.
  • You will have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • You will possess good communication skills: able to communicate effectively with senior finance and non-finance individuals on payroll matters.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with strong attention to detail whilst meeting deadlines.
  • You will be driven with a desire to improve existing processes.
