Job Brief:
A leading company in the Chilled & Frozen Food (FMCG) sector is looking for an Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer will provide the company with course design support. Develop and design training material, courses and digitalise content to be place on learning management system. The Instructional Designer will also provide training to employees through workshops and inline platforms.

A leading company in the Chilled & Frozen Food (FMCG) sector is looking for an Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer will provide the company with course design support. Develop and design training material, courses and digitalise content to be place on learning management system. The Instructional Designer will also provide training to employees through workshops and inline platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design courses.
- Develop online learning material.
- Create an online “school” for employees to part take in learning courses and induction.
- Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Create computer-based training.
- Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.
- Manage online learning material and training calendars.
- Analyse, update and improve existing training content.
- Train instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologies.
- Create monthly newsletter content and relevant company culture content.
- Keep current best practices in instructional design.
- Write scripts for video and audio content.
- Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users
Skills Required:
Educational Background:
- Experience in instructional design, education, or related field
- Tertiary qualification will be advantage, however not a pre requisite
- Previous experience in instructional design and or content creation
- Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
- Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
- Understanding of applicable content creation
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Experience with design platforms and software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to prepare and manage a training schedule
