$27.56 - $37.48 an hour based on Experience, Shift: Swing shift- alternates one week, 7am-3pm and the next week 3pm-11pm, $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS! Advanced Electrical and Plastics experienceKey Qualifications:

Actively participates in proactive maintenance activities, including FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action), and Analytical Troubleshooting (ATS).
Demonstrates technical proficiency in the maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment. This includes a solid grasp of lubrication principles and ensuring proper lubrication for equipment.
Possesses strong technical skills for troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment.
Exhibits strong technical skills for repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment.
Proficiently performs precision installations of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment following OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.


Prior experience in an industrial or military setting, focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, industrial, and motor controls is a plus.
Proficiency in using mechanical lifts, ladders, and the ability to kneel, bend, and twist as necessary. Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working independently and adept at managing multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that may require overtime, including weekends.

Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production
Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM s, and rebuilds.
Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
Performing all duties in support of Sonoco s quality and safety policies.

You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred
Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs
Working independently and managing multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends

Collaboration and Communication:

Effectively communicate with operations personnel to identify and address abnormal or deteriorating equipment conditions that may affect safety, quality, or productivity.
Proactive Maintenance:

Actively participate in proactive maintenance activities, including FMEAs, RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action), and Analytical Troubleshooting (ATS).
Accurate Documentation:

Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of work performed to create valuable historical data for future analysis.
Housekeeping Excellence:

Execute all tasks with a strong emphasis on maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards in your designated work areas.
Tool Proficiency:

Identify and use the appropriate tools for each task and avoid using damaged tools.
Precision Welding:

Conduct precision welding based on the specific application requirements.
Proficiency in Shop Tools:

Demonstrate expertise in operating shop tools such as lathes, drills, milling machines, and more.
Schematic Interpretation:

Read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Possess technical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the reliability of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment.
Ensure the correct application of lubrication principles for equipment.
Reliability Enhancement:

Identify opportunities to enhance equipment inspection, lubrication, and accessibility for new equipment installations and existing equipment.
Equipment Functionality:

Understand the overall operation and function of equipment and apply this knowledge to maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and reliability enhancement of equipment sub-components.
PLC Programming:

Develop, modify, read, troubleshoot, and install PLC programs.
AC and DC Drives/Motors:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair AC and DC drives/motors.
Fabrication and Installation:

Fabricate and install various electrical, piping, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
