Industrial Automation - Technical Support - Drives-Servos

Industrial Automation products company with product lines that include: PLCs HMIs Communications Drives Motors Motion Process/Fluid Power and Power Distribution needs experienced Automation Support Consultants/Automation Engineers in the North Atlanta GA area. This role will handle troubleshooting issues and answer technical presale and postsale questions via email and phone.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Support/Troubleshooting Provide solutions to customer issues received via phone email and/or chat. May conduct technical research testing and recreate customer issues using actual equipment and configurations to assist in troubleshooting.
• Training Attend team meetings and training sessions to learn new products. When not taking calls may also train/retrain on existing products to increase knowledge.
• Documentation May create application notes review product documentation and update hardcopy or online documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Technical Degree a min. of 5 years of experience or a minimum of 8 years of industry experience.
• Experience with AC servo Variable frequency drives and stepper systems products required

• PLC programming and troubleshooting/startup experience preferred
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting Windows to industrial Ethernet network preferred
• HMI programming and troubleshooting experience preferred
• Communications experience with various industry networking solutions (DeviceNet Profibus etc.) is preferred
