Job Title: Radiology Technologist Job No: 16110 Department: Radiology Services Diagnostic Salary Grade: 10 Reports to: Senior Director of Ancillary Services FLSA: NonExempt Job Summary: Radiology Technologist works under the direction of a Radiologist performing a variety of routine and complex diagnostic radiology procedures for the purpose of diagnosing abnormalities. Functions and Duties: Positions explains procedure and sets technical factors for the appropriate examination. Performs routine radiographs of skull chest pelvis spine abdomen and extremities for diagnosis of abnormalities Receives and evaluates physician orders with patient history and information. Assist radiologist in fluoroscopy and spot film examinations which require administration of contrast material: e.g. gastrointestinal series barium enemas pyelograms joint injections and cholangiograms. Prepares contrast media and administers to patient. Operates fixed and mobile radiographic equipment. Coordinates patient information with PACS and EMR to save data and radiation dose. Performs all other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:TK1 Education Graduate of an AMA approved radiology program required. Experience 1 year preferred. Certifications Licenses and Registrations Basic life support certification required. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (R) required. Illinois Emergency Management Agency certification to perform Radiology required. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge in anatomy and image critic preferred. Shift: Full Time Position will work nine 8 hour shifts one 5 hour shift on their Sunday; Working alternating weekends. This is also in an express clinic setting; Radiology department is a department of the hospital inside the clinic. This clinic is located in East St. Louis IL which is about 10 minutes from the hospital and is a brand new facility that will be opening for business December 4th! Clinic Hours: MF 12p8p hours; Saturday 10a6p; Sunday 12p5p
