Roles & Responsibilities:

Install/migrate/maintain OS and ISV products.

Analyze report performance issues. Upgrade capacity.

Manage user access with RACF or similar tool.

z/OS Unix administration.

SMF WLM catalog IODF management.

Vendor coordination.

Maintain DASD/Tape units SMS config & ACS routines.

Report analyze & improvise storage availability.

Manage backup/restore.

Manage replication tools PPRC / XRC Metro/Global Mirror.

Troubleshooting Incident/Problem management.

DR support.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must Have Skills: z/OS System and Storage administration.

Good To Have Skills: Knowledge to work in other Mainframe Admin areas or other platforms.

Knowledge of z/OS functions high level knowledge of architecture and hardware

Thorough knowledge of all tools and technologies used in Mainframe Storage

Thorough knowledge of using JCL IBM & ISV Utilities used for Storage management

Knowledge of SMP/E and software installation

Overall knowledge of other support areas like Database Middleware Communication and

Network.
