HVAC Technician

Reports To: HVAC Supervisor / Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

As an HVAC Technician you are responsible for installing maintaining and repairing HVAC systems chillers air conditioning units and refrigeration systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance efficiency and safety of HVAC equipment. You are expected to have a strong understanding of HVAC principles excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HVAC System Maintenance and Repair:
   

   • Perform routine inspections maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems chillers AC units and refrigeration equipment.
     
   • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC equipment identifying and implementing effective solutions.
     
   • Replace or repair defective parts and make necessary adjustments to ensure system functionality.
     

2. Installation and Configuration:
   

   • Install new HVAC systems chillers and AC units ensuring proper installation and configuration according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
     
   • Collaborate with engineers contractors and clients to ensure that installations meet operational and safety requirements.
     

3. Safety and Compliance:
   

   • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries during HVAC operations.
     
   • Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations and environmental standards related to HVAC systems and refrigerants.
     

4. Record Keeping and Documentation:
   

   • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work installations inspections and repairs.
     
   • Document system performance issues and the measures taken to resolve them.
     

5. Customer Service and Communication:
   

   • Provide excellent customer service addressing client concerns and providing guidance on HVAC system maintenance and operation.
     
   • Communicate effectively with team members management and clients regarding HVAC system status and maintenance needs.
     

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in HVAC technology is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with handson experience in HVAC systems chillers AC units and refrigeration equipment.
  
• Valid certification from recognized HVAC institutions and a valid drivers license.
