Purpose of the role: Oversee the HV (400V to 1200V) electronics hardware engineering team to define design validate and take to production brand new HV hardware products (Motor Controllers Inverter DCDC OBC PDU). This will include overseeing the selection of the right circuit topology run simulations to verify the key performance characteristics develop the detailed design layout prototypes and take the design through full verification and validation and into production. This also includes the selection of all the components selection of the power devices and controllers and the development of basic firmware.
Tasks & Accountabilities:
Lead and manage the HV electronic hardware development team including hiring training and performance management.
Drive the development of HV electronic hardware products from concept to mass production ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Develop and maintain hardware design processes tools and methodologies to improve efficiency quality and reliability.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including system team software development product management and operations to ensure alignment of hardware development with product goals and timelines.
Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners to ensure timely and costeffective delivery of hardware components and services.
Develop and maintain project plans budgets and schedules and provide regular status updates to senior management.
Stay uptodate with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform hardware development strategy and product roadmap.
Define the topology for the different devices under development
Supervise the detailed circuit design (power electronics up to 300Kw 1200V power modules based on SI IGBT SiC GaN)
Responsible for the detailed circuit analysis and simulations
Designing advanced microprocessor/DSP control boards which may include FPGAs
Responsible to meet the Functional Safety requirements at HW level
Responsible for the printed circuit board (PCB) design Signal Integrity Thermal design and mechanical integration DFMEA
Design for manufacturing / Assembly
Oversee the prototype development and testing
Drive the homologation of the devices developed at component and system level
Follow the EMC/EMI testing and certifications
Author maintain and execute hardware test plans.
