Position Description The Department of Management Division of Information Technology (DOM DoIT) is a fastgrowing highimpact team tasked with meeting the technology needs of the State of Iowa and supporting IT professionals. Our DoIT team has recently acquired several hundred new employees through centralization of IT staff across the state. This position will under the direction of our HR team be responsible for organizing personnel files and other important documents related to consolidation. If youre an organized HR professional who enjoys bringing order to files this role is for you. Your day to day work will focus on digitizing and organizing important documents. Candidates must be organized and possess a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection. The ideal candidate will be skilled in computers and detailoriented. This position will be onsite Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Responsibilities include: Scans paper documents and verifies that scanned documents are clear and legible. Uploads digital files and data. Organizes and archives records and documents. Updates filing systems and devises new filing and organizational and storage systems for data and documents as needed. Uses alphabetical and numerical systems to organize paper and electronic records documents. Checks paperwork digital forms and files updating or correcting documentation as needed. Secures and protects the privacy of documents. Types and performs data entry. Looks for ways to improve systems and designs forms and templates for data entry. Skills Required Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Integrity discretion and respect for confidentiality and privacy A dedication to preserving information and materials Ability to read and understand a wide range of materials Verbal communication and interpersonal skills Research and critical thinking skills Skills Preferred Experience Required Experience working in an office setting. Proven clerical experience including working with confidential information. Knowledge of basic office and administrative software such as MS Office. Experience Preferred Experience with personnel file management highly desired. Experience with OpenText and Google Productivity Suite a plus. Education Required High school graduate or equivalent Education Preferred Additional Information This position will be onsite Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Client will be conducting this background check. Selected CLP can get the paperwork from the state via US mail or onsite at their E Grand Offices.
