TBest Services Inc. is seeking a highlyskilled and professional Human Resources Generalist to join our clients team in Rochester NY.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the management and oversight of various HR functions for the coordination and administration of permanent temporary and hourly staff. S/he will be involved in shift scheduling implementation of employee training and development initiatives and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer various HR programs for permanent temporary and hourly staff including compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Reviews tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training continuing education and work assessments including safety training antiharassment training professional licensing and qualifying examinations and certifications.
  • Recruits interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified candidates or open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Performs or obtains background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs for permanent temporary and hourly employees.
  • Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Human Resources/Business Administration.
  • 2 years HR experience.
  • SHRMCP preferred.
  • Skilled in shift scheduling.
  • Strong communication negotiation and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
