Lakeside HR group has been engaged to recruit for a Human Resources Manager for our construction client out of Greenfield MN in a hybrid working enviornment. As the HR Manager you will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff administering pay benefits and leave and enforcing company policies and practices. This individual will be responsible for timely payroll processing benefits administration and HRIS maintenance contributing to our company’s commitment to providing excellent employee experiences.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs recruiting retention and succession planning.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process which may include recruitment interviewing and hiring of qualified candidates. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Enter and review biweekly payroll time data employee maintenance tax information direct deposit new hire and terminated employee processing.
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency consulting with the HR team to enhance payroll and HRIS processes.
  • Administer benefits including enrollment claims resolution and providing employees with information about available benefits.
  • Maintain and update the Paylocity HRIS with accurate employee data ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.

  • Strong knowledge of state local and federal practices and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach to working in a team environment.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required.
  • 35 years of related multistate payroll experience utilizing Paylocity or other HRIS payroll systems.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRMCP or SCHRMSCP preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Walking short distances.
  • Bending stooping or twisting.
  • Reaching above and/or below shoulders.
  • Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in person and/or on the telephone.
  • Requires exertion of force of 25 pounds occasionally 10 pounds frequently and/or 5 pounds continuously to lift/carry/move objects files and documents.
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment.
